Born and raised in Washington D.C., James Haidak started cultivating his passion for sound design and sequencing—as well as his DJ-ing skills—when he bought his own Ableton music sequencing software at the age of 17. His journey into electronic music would lead him to move to Amsterdam when he turned 23, where he fell in love with techno.
James Haidak’s first gigs were in warehouses, abandoned office buildings, and various under-the-radar industrial sections of Amsterdam. Despite his now-regular stints in bigger rave and club circuits, James continues to participate in these low-profile, nondescript events, believing that they are both a vital and vibrant part of electronic music culture.
